Description

The Migrant and Refugee Integration Council is a counseling body for the Municipality and City Council in order to assist them with the integration of migrants and refugees into the local community.   

The purpose of the Migrant and Refugee Integration Council is:

(a) to document and examine issues that migrants and refugees face in the region where they reside in, in terms of their integration into the local community and their contact with local authorities.

(b) to submit proposals to the City Council about implementing local interventions in order to promote the smooth integration of migrants and refugees and ultimately solving any issues that they face with counseling services and local authorities and

(c) to organize events in collaboration with the City to help raise awareness and enhance social cohesion in the local community.
